สาระสังเขป: Reviews the educational system of Thailand and relates it to the low level of agricultural and industrial productivity. Describes the origin of the General Education Development Plan (GED), lists its objectives, and the GED Centers in Yala, Phuket and Songkhla. Outlines work done in survey to evaluate the educational possibilities and selection of schools for the GED project. Notes emphasis on health and sanitation programs, improvement of physical facilities, and improvement of teaching. Lists accomplishment in these areas in individual schools. Outlines plans for the third year of the GED program.
